Each baby's body responds differently when adapting to gentle weight. While some babies may experience significant improvement in sleep from the first night, others may take a few nights to adjust. An adjustment period is perfectly normal and to be expected.
We do not recommend sizing up for safety reasons. Every baby is different but generally our products run true to size. If your baby is in-between sizes, please do not choose a larger size solely based on their height or their weight. You can contact our customer service at support@smoochbabies.com and we will be happy to assist you in choosing the right size for your baby.

Infants are not able to regulate their body temperature as well as adults. It is important to follow safety guidelines and keep your baby's nursery between 68°-72°F.
We recommend to dress your baby in either a lightweight footie pajama or a onesie depending on the temperature of your baby's room. It is it's safer for your baby to be a little underdressed than too warm.
For cooler temperatures (62°-67°F), footed pajamas with a onesie underneath will keep them cozy.
For warmer temperatures (73°-76°F), a short-sleeve onesie or even a diaper under weighted sleep wear should be enough.
If your baby seems uncomfortable, check their neck or tummy. If it feels comfortably warm, they're probably okay. But if they feel sweaty or overheated, they may be too warm. It's normal for their hands, arms, or feet to feel cool.

Our organic cotton sleepwear is easy to care for and is made to last. To clean, please turn inside out and zip closed. Wash on delicate cycle in cold water. You may hang to dry to machine-dry on tumble dry on the lowest heat setting.
Yes! Our sleep sacks feature a reversible neckline. For tummy or side sleepers, simply place the sleep sack on your baby backwards. This way your baby will still get the benefit of the gentle weight and deep touch stimulation on the top of their body while they sleep.
Our swaddles come with a built-in, adjustable inner band. Depending on your baby's age, stage and preference, you may fasten the swaddle in three different ways.
• Both arms inside: Place your baby on-top of the open swaddle band. The band should fall below your baby's shoulders and your baby should be in the middle of the band. Wrap one side of the band across your baby's chest and shoulders and secure it to the other side with both arms inside.
• One arm inside: Place your baby on-top of the open swaddle band. The band should fall below your baby's shoulders and your baby should be in the middle of the band. Wrap one side of the band across your baby's chest and shoulders and secure it to the other side. Keep one arm inside the swaddle and leave the other arm outside of the swaddle.
• Both arms outside: Place your baby on-top of the open swaddle band. The band should fall below your baby's shoulders and your baby should be in the middle of the band. Wrap one side of the band across your baby's chest and secure it to the other side. Keep both arms outside.
Switch to our sleep sack or transition sack when your baby begins showing signs of wanting to roll over.
Yes! Smooch sleepwear is beneficial to assist with sleep training in tandem with all common sleep training methods. With sleep training, consistency is key.
The infant startle reflex commonly known as the moro reflex gets triggered when your baby gets startled by a sudden movement or loud sound.
Usually after 6 months, the startle reflex goes away. There is no way to prevent this natural infant reflex but our sleepwear helps to calm your baby through it.

If you wish to make a return, please initiate the return within 30 days of placing your order. All returned product must be in unused, new condition with the original tags and packaging.
We unfortunately do not offer refunds for any used garments, this includes swaddles or sleep sacks that have been used or washed.
All shipping charged for the original purchase are non-refundable.
